5.2.5. Removal and installation of the heat exchanger of a heater

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Previously having dumped pressure in a path, empty the cooling system (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  2. On models of the corresponding complete set (ET2 code) activate the service mode of system of an emergency call of TELE AID (see the Section Activation/deactivation of the Service Mode of System of an Emergency Call of TELE AID).
  3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery, - need for connection of the auxiliary accumulator is absent.
  4. Remove the dashboard (see the Head Kuzov).
  5. Remove the accelerator pedal.
  6. Remove a floor carpet in the left back foot well (see the Head Kuzov).
  7. Uncover on the left side of the forward central tunnel.
  8. Remove an air supply sleeve in the left back foot well.
  9. Release spring clamps (9a) and remove a nozzle (9).
  10. Take connecting collars (10) and disconnect from the heat exchanger (12) of a tube of a cooling path (11), collars (10) and sealing rings are subject to replacement without fail.
  11. Turn out bolts (13).
  12. Remove a collar (14) and take the heat exchanger (12).
  13. Carefully clean a heat exchanger casing from within, having completely removed from it the traces of leak of cooling liquid which are a source of unpleasant smells.
  14. Installation is made upside-down.
  15. On models of the corresponding complete set deactivate the service mode of the TELE AID system.
  16. In conclusion make cleaning of the processor memory of system of onboard self-diagnostics (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).
