4.4. Check of pressure of motive oil

Check of pressure of motive oil on petrol models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Having pulled vertically up, remove finishing panels engine/assembly of the air cleaner.
  2. Remove assembly of the fan (8) of the cooling system and its casing (9).
  3. Turn out a carving cap (4) from a GRM drive cover and remove it together with a sealing washer (5).

The sealing washer is subject to replacement without fail.

  1. By means of the GRM drive put in a cover on a sealing washer (3) of the two-sided nipple socket (2) connect to the engine the manometer (1) equipped with a connecting hose for measurement of pressure of oil.
  2. Check the level of motive oil, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see the Head the Current leaving and service).
  3. Take the probe (7) of measurement of level of motive oil from the directing tube and fill instead of it the remote thermometer (6).
  4. Start the engine, warm up it up to the normal working temperature (80 °C), then and consider indications of the manometer at various turns of a bent shaft. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications.

When squeezing the accelerator pedal pressure has to increase instantly.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.

Diesel models (M612)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the top finishing panels from a cover of a head of cylinders.
  2. Further act according to the instructions provided in paragraphs with 4 on 8 (for Petrol models).

Readings are taken at a working temperature of oil of 90 °C. On single turns pressure of oil should not fall below value of 0.3 atm (bar); when squeezing the accelerator pedal the indication has to increase instantly, reaching value of at least 3 atm (bar) on 3000 rpm.
